Nastassja Kinski

The daughter of actor Klaus Kinski, this slender, pouty brunette (born 1959 in Berlin, Germany) made a bid for stardom in the early 1980s after receiving considerable attention in the title role of Tess (1979), directed by Roman Polanski. But aside from a few noteworthy leads-in Cat People (1982), Unfaithfully Yours and Paris, Texas (both 1984)- she failed to get the meaty roles that would have sustained her as a box-office draw. She's better known for her wellpublicized offscreen antics, and for a striking poster in which she posed with a snake wrapped around her! She has one child with composer/producer Quincy Jones.
