Gaite Jansen

Gaite Sara Kim Jansen (Rotterdam, 25 december 1991) is a dutch actress. She is considered one of the most promising young talents of her acting generation. In 2008 she was awarded the Best Actress Award for Luwte at the 48 Hour Film Project in Amsterdam and she was recently nominated for the Golden Calf for Best Actress (170 HZ). Gaite was uniquely accepted by two drama academies in The Netherlands. She chose to go to the Maastricht Theatre Academy. She starred in such films as Lover Of Loser (director: Dave Schram), Coach (director: Joram Lürsen) and Singing In The Dark, together with Carice van Houten. In the summer of 2010 she starred as Sophie in the new TV series In Therapie, the Dutch version of the HBO series In Treatment. Gaite is currently shooting The Entertainment Experience, a Dutch online project directed by Paul Verhoeven (Black Book).
