Attractive, sensual French actress and former dancer who studied at the Paris Conservatoire before making her film debut in Truffaut's Day for Night (1973). Lithe and expressive, Baye took to screen acting immediately and quickly became a favorite, faring best in A Week's Vacation (1980), The Return of Martin Guerre (1982), Beethoven's Nephew, Detective (both 1985), and The Man Inside (1990).
